The Department of English at the American University of Beirut is seeking to fill a faculty position in world literature and global film and visual culture to begin August 15, 2017. The position is at the assistant professor level. The appointment is for an initial period of four years with opportunities for renewal and advancement. The usual teaching load is not more than 5 courses a year. Applicants must have completed their PhD by August 2017. The language of instruction is English.
